Counselling and Psychological Services
UNSW provides free counselling and psychological services. There is unfortunately no queer/LGBTQIA+-specific counselling and psychological staff, but some may have completed ALLY@UNSW training.
There is sometimes large demand for these services and appointments sometimes must be made well in advance.
Equity scholarships of $2500 are available throughout the year. They can be applied for here; you must be an existing or intended student of UNSW to apply.
The application forms for these scholarships are simple and are based on need, not on academic success.
You may call Arc on 02 9385 7700 to request financial support, including Centrelink support.
You may call Arc on 02 9385 7700 to request a meeting with Arc’s student legal team who may be able to offer free legal advice.
You may call the Kingsford Legal Centre, situated at UNSW, to arrange a meeting. They may be able to offer free legal advice.
NOTE: KLC cannot provide legal advice against UNSW as it could amount to a conflict of interest.
